It’s Monday again. And once more, the routine kicks in—alarm blaring, clothes on autopilot, a quick glance at the clock that confirms: you’re already late.

The morning rush begins. The commute blurs. Maybe today is a little different. Maybe not.

For many of us, weekday mornings are a scramble—unless you work for yourself, in which case, you’ve traded predictability for freedom (and no small amount of courage). The rest of us? We stick with the familiar. Not because we love it, but because it feels safe.

This haiku is for anyone who’s ever sprinted into the week before their soul could catch up.

Unless you’re one of those rare early birds who floats through mornings with time to spare—this one’s probably for you.

Monday dawns again,
The rush of routine returns,
Early birds are calm.
