During a visit to Hampton Court Palace with a friend, we discovered that the palace was closed for the day. Instead of letting this deter us, we decided to explore the surrounding area and ended up taking a delightful walk along a trail by the Thames River. This unexpected detour turned out to be a serene and inspiring experience, leading me to create the following haiku, inspired by our mini walk along the Thames:

Happy nature walks
River, swans, refreshing breeze
Soul, mind, inner peace

In Japanese:

楽しい散歩
川、白鳥、風
心の平和

Phonetic transcription:

Tanoshii sanpo
Kawa, hakuchou, kaze
Kokoro no heiwa

Our stroll along the Thames offered a perfect blend of natural beauty and peaceful reflection, proving that sometimes the best experiences are the unplanned ones.
