Describe one of your favorite moments.

One of the best experiences I’ve ever had relating to BTS was attending the American Music Awards (AMAs) in November 2017. This event was particularly special because it marked the first time BTS performed live on stage at an American award show. I was beyond excited!
A fellow ARMY, with whom I work in radio promotions for BTS in Southern California, won a VIP package raffle to attend the AMAs. I begged her to take me along instead of her boyfriend, and luckily, he didn’t want to attend, so she invited me. We dressed up that night, proudly carrying our ARMY light sticks. On our way to the venue, we even met another ARMY at a crosswalk. She was carrying an ARMY light stick, too. I looked at her and asked, “ARMY?” She replied with the biggest smile, “ARMY.” We screamed and jumped around with excitement before the light turned red. We chatted until we reached the red carpet, sharing our mutual anticipation.
The excitement was palpable that night, filled with hope and dreams for BTS. Inside the venue, we discovered we were seated just 32 rows behind BTS on the floor. I almost died from the thrill of being so close to them! To this day, I regret not walking up to them to say hi. Throughout the evening, ARMYs screamed every time BTS looked our way or waved.
When BTS took the stage to perform, we poured all our energy into showing our undying love and support. I hope they felt it. It was one of my proudest moments as an ARMY, witnessing BTS make history on an American stage. It was truly an unforgettable night.
I’m incredibly grateful to my friend who gave me the ticket. Because of her, I was able to witness BTS perform on an American Music Awards stage for the first time. Seeing them there made me so proud and filled me with hope that dreams really do come true. BTS is a tremendous source of strength, not only for me but for millions of ARMYs around the world.
