Have you ever been in a rush, holding your freshly made coffee from a shop, and then bumped into someone, spilling your drink? It’s one of those moments when a whirlwind of emotions rushes through you—shock, dismay, perhaps a hint of anger at yourself or the person you collided with. Your mind races at a hundred miles an hour, trying to figure out how to remedy the situation. There might be an exchange of apologies, but the fact remains: the coffee is spilled on the pavement. That was going to be your first cup of the day. Well, this haiku is about that spill. Enjoy!

Bump! Whoops! I’m really sorry!
Coffee spills on ground.
