Doesn’t it feel like time is flying by so quickly? I have these same conversations with colleagues, friends, and even family members. The older we get, the faster time seems to pass. If time were a piece of pie, each slice would get smaller and smaller until we cease to exist. This feeling intensifies for me with each holiday and birthday that goes by. It makes me reflect on how transient our existence is on this planet. Perhaps we come back for another lifetime with no memories of our past lives, but I don’t know for sure. I won’t know until I cross over to the spiritual realm. I’ve heard from near-death experiencers that everything makes sense after we cross over. Inspired by these thoughts on the fourth dimension, time, I wrote this haiku.

Endless, ceaseless march
Train on track moving too fast
Breathless, can’t keep up
