Write about your first crush.

My first crush was in the fifth grade. We were classmates, and he was one of the popular boys in our class. He earned the nickname Prince Charming because he was not only incredibly handsome, with his brown eyes and dark brown hair, but also a genuinely nice and sweet guy.

Every year, our school celebrated International Day, and each class had to perform a folk dance representing a different country. That year, my class was assigned Jamaica. I was overjoyed when we were paired up as dance partners. During our dance practices, our teacher instructed us to maintain eye contact with our partners throughout the performance.

Each practice session was a mix of nervous excitement and joy for me. I felt a thrill every time our eyes met, and I cherished those moments of shared connection. Despite my strong feelings, I never found the courage to tell him about my crush. Those dance practices became some of my most cherished memories from that year.

We remained friends for the rest of the school year until he transferred to an all-boys school for high school. Unfortunately, we lost touch after that. While it was nice while it lasted, the memory of my first crush and those innocent moments of connection have stayed with me over the years.
