
A Personal Struggle with Negativity
I’ll never forget the day my negative thoughts seemed louder than ever. It was a typical morning, but my mind was already spiraling: You’re not good enough. You’ll never get it right. Why even try? I felt trapped in a mental fog that I couldn’t seem to shake.
But everything started to change when I found this scripture:
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12:2, NIV)
Those words hit me like a lightning bolt. I realized that negative thoughts were not only a part of the world’s pattern but something I could actively combat with God’s truth. What followed was a journey of intentional transformation—one I want to share with you today.

Negative thinking is the norm in a world driven by fear, comparison, and doubt. But God invites us to something far greater—a transformed and renewed mind. The good news? It’s a process you can start today.
Paul’s words in Philippians 4:8 provide a roadmap for combating negativity:
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”
This verse challenges us to shift our focus from lies and doubts to thoughts that reflect God’s goodness. It’s not easy, but it’s worth the effort. After all, as Henry Ford said, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right.”
